Located just 90 minutes from Geneva, the ski resort of Champéry is a picture postcard of a typical Swiss village with its preserved architecture, culinary delights and direct access to the Portes du Soleil area.

The village of Champéry, located in the municipality that absorbs the same name, in the canton of Valais, which itself is a lovely attraction with its traditional chalets and tempting shops.

From the main street, the view of the 7 spectacular peaks of the Dents du Midi is breathtaking (these can rival the Matterhorn or the Eiger for their natural beauty). One of the major assets of Champéry is without doubt its easy access to the Portes du Soleil ski area.

Unforgettable experiences in Champéry

Precision sports in Champéry Ski Resort

Curling is an activity of strategy, competition and entertainment as well as a precision sport similar to the pétanque, with cut and polished granite stones that must be placed as close as possible to a circular target drawn at the other end of the ice platform.

In October 2012, more than a century after curling first arrived in Champéry, the first European Curling Center (ECC) was opened.

Curling really took off with the European Youth Olympic Festival in 2005 and with the holding of the European Championships in 2010, 2014, 2015 (group C) as well as the World Mixed Curling Championships in 2017, Champéry is positioning itself on the international scene.

This is where all the magic happens on ice, the Champéry Palladium, where three lanes open eight months of the year and where, on request from the Champéry Curling Club, you can discover this sport through group initiations.

In summer, Champéry turns into a world-renowned MTB park

From the village of Champéry, dominated by the imposing peaks of the Dents-du-Midi, it is easy to understand what attracted the first mountaineers in the early 20th century.
You can also discover the wonders of the valley by following in the footsteps of these first explorers, as far as the Lac d’Antheme or the Barme refuge.
For the adrenaline junkies, get out your mountain bike and take the cable car to the Bike Park with its groomed trails.
The more adventurous can try the 2007 World Cup trail, whilst others can opt for the Grand Paradis route, which is part of the Portes du Soleil mountain bike circuit.
