Spending a week of skiing holidays is an unforgettable experience for both children and adults. And so that the pleasure is even more intense, the ski resort of Val Cenis, located in Haute Maurienne Vanoise, has programmed many activities that are meant to be enjoyed with your children, so that the joy of skiing is shared with the whole family.
The green snail slope : the longest green slope in Europe
Ten kilometers long, the green snail slope offers a real walk through the forest, an exceptional moment to share with the family. The snail track takes again the road of the mythical Pass of the Mont Cenis, which connects in the summer France and Italy.
Accessible from several starting points, the chairlift of La Ramasse allows skiers to reach the top of this track at 2000 meters altitude. The latter crosses the forest at a peaceful pace, allowing everyone to enjoy the outdoors and nature.
“The green snail track crosses the entire Val Cenis estate, and thanks to its length and softness, there is time to build self-confidence, and discover little by little the sensations of sliding. Often the green runs are short, while here we take the time to take advantage of the first turns” explains Laurent Sevenier, manager of the promotion service, web communication of the Val Cenis resort.
The Mickey slope
Turns raised, bumps, change of relief, figures, small modules with an easy access… All these ingredients are gathered in a single track whose motto is “to have fun”! Your children will be thrilled as they will find their favorite Mickey characters and their friends.
Every week, between February 9 and March 10, aperitifs are organized on Wednesday thanks to the partnership between the ski resort of Val Cenis and Le Journal de Mickey children magazine, well known in France.
In Val Cenis, you will leave your adult status and turn into a big child for the day! Everything is thought to have fun and experience new sensations of skiing. Completely integrated into the ski area and accessible with the ski pass with no additional charge, the snow tubbing base is an XXL toboggan run. This activity is located at the top of the ski area, at the arrival of the Solert chairlift at 2540m above sea level, where the snow tubbing allows you to escape skiing and discover another slide.
You are left for new sensations. Alone or hanging from other giant buoys, you will enjoy the ride.
The snow tubbing is an activity that can be practiced by 6-year-olds and above.
Evening tobogganing and night skiing
Sliding takes over winter in Val Cenis, both during the day and in the evening.
Every Tuesday, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Wednesdays during the school holidays, sledge evenings are organized on an 800 meters long lighted track. Children over 1 m 25 cm can drive alone with their own sled under the supervision of an adult.
The night skiing takes place in Haute Maurienne Vanoise during these school holidays. You will be able to enjoy the atmosphere of the mountain in the evening, and hit the slopes lit especially for the occasion:
– At Val Cenis Termignon, every Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
– At Val Cenis Lanslevillard every Thursday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the Colomba chairlift.
Night skiing is available to holders of valid ski pass of the ski area.
