January, the best month to ski

The different storms that have crossed the peninsula have left the Pyrenees and the ski resort of Peyragudes with a pure white color: the resort enjoys a lot of snow at all levels, with 90 cm of snow at the foot of slopes and 130 cm at the summit of its ski area.

On weekends, all the slopes will be open, including the legendary Vallée Blanche, a descent of “red” difficulty level from the summit of the ski resort to 1,400 meters of altitude, by the slope of Les Agudes. For example, during the month of January, Freestyle enthusiasts will have two dedicated play areas, with jumps of different levels of difficulty and modules: the Flamme snowpark offers several routes, suitable for all levels; including those that they want to start in freestyle and have little experience. On the Peyresourde slope, the snowpark has a panoramic terrace where you can enjoy the show of the most expert freestylers while recovering strength, eating or drinking something with unbuttoned boots.

One of the novelties of the year, is a new Fun Slope: a new recreational circuit, suitable for all levels, where skiers can play with the changes of grade, snow tunnels, potholes, jumps, sharp curves…

It also offers a recorded and timed permanent slalom, equipped with the SKY by MINI-BMW system, which allows you to record the route, so you can enjoy it later, with the acrobatics that you have done during the day. All this, comfortably from your mobile phone and also you can share it directly with your friends on social networks.

If after having skied the 51 slopes offered by the ski resort, you want to indulge, nothing better than taking a bath with bubbles, without leaving the station, in the Spassio spa located in the residence Valnea at the foot of the slopes.

From January 8 to the next French school ski holidays that begin on February 10, the ski resort of Peyragudes has decided to especially pamper all those who have the privilege of skiing in January, proposing the cheapest ski week in the season. 7 nights and 6 days of skiing can be hired from € 179 per person.

And for all those who can not escape a week, the station offers the “Crazy Weekends” in January, with 2 nights from € 99 per person (pass included), and 3 nights from € 149 per person (lift pass) included.

The close proximity of Peyragudes with the ski resorts of Val Louron, Saint-Lary and Piau Engaly has ended up in the creation of an inter-season ski pass, the “Pyrenees 2 Valleys” pass that provides a unique value to the client, allowing him to really ski every day in a ski resort without hardly moving, thanks to the great physical proximity of the 4 ski areas.
