The Aillons-Margériaz ski resort is a winter sports resort located in the village of Aillon-le-Jeune. It is situated in the Bauges mountains between Chambéry and Annecy. The resort covers two sites, Aillons-Margériaz 1,000 metres and Aillons-Margériaz 1,400 metres.

Historically, the resort was born out of a local initiative to diversify winter economic activities and curb rural depopulation. The commune of Aillon-le-Jeune first developed the first ski lifts, giving rise to two complementary centres: the former ‘Aillon-Station’ and the Margériaz Alpine stadium, now united under the name Aillons-Margériaz.

The ski slopes

The ski area is divided into two distinct sectors. Aillons-Margériaz 1000, situated between 1,000 and 1,540 metres above sea level, offers 17 kilometres of slopes served by two chairlifts and multiple ski lifts. It is an ideal area for families and beginners who want to progress at their own pace in a friendly environment.

At a higher altitude, Aillons-Margériaz 1400 stretches up to 1,845 metres on the slopes of Mont Margériaz. This dynamic sector is equipped with a gondola lift, eleven ski lifts, a magic carpet for beginners and a snowpark for freestyle enthusiasts. It also offers 54 kilometres of cross-country ski trails, perfect for Nordic skiing enthusiasts in the heart of nature.

A suspended universe accessible to all

The Pays Suspendu des Géants forms the heart of the attraction. It is an aerial adventure park covering approximately 7,000 m² of suspended nets, cabins and slides, where the key feature is the absence of harnesses, allowing for free and uninterrupted play in a completely safe environment.Suitable for children aged 2 and over (80 cm), this concept is perfectly suited to the current demand for intergenerational activities: children explore independently whilst adults take part in the experience. It also features a kids’ course designed to introduce children to tree-top adventure courses, helping to develop key skills such as confidence, coordination and risk management.

AccroTyro: the path to vertical adventure

For a more active crowd, the AccroTyro des Géants offers a more challenging experience. The course features four tree-top adventure trails of varying difficulty (from green to black) combined with a series of zip lines.Suitable for children aged 8 and over and at least 1.25 m tall, this product is clearly in line with alpine adventure park standards: technical progression, immersion in the forest and a comprehensive physical experience. Its all-day unlimited access format also enhances perceived value and encourages visitors to spend more time at the resort.

Bungee Ejection: the ‘thrill-seeking’ experience

Finally, the Bungee Ejection adds an element of extreme thrills to the range of activities on offer. Described as a “human catapult”, this system propels the user up to 20 metres in the air in a matter of seconds, combining a sensation of weightlessness with a controlled descent.Suitable for children aged 10 and over (minimum weight 35 kg), this product serves a dual strategic purpose: to attract teenagers and young adults, and to reinforce the resort’s dynamic and experiential image.
