Situated at 1263m of altitude, Leysin’s ski resort takes advantage of an exceptional situation.
Its skiable domain, its Tobogganing Park, its panoramic revolving restaurant “Le Kuklos” and its international ski schools are the main characteristics. Leysin’s skiing area (along with Les Mosses pass and La Lécherette) counts 100km of pistes (from 1300m to 2048m of altitude) served by fast installations. However, you have to use a “ski bus” to go from Leysin to Les Mosses (9 minutes).
Located at the heart of the village, the skiable domain starts with the telecabin of La Berneuse or Aï’s chair lift. The numerous installations of the domain (mainly chairlifts) are all located on the same sunny side of the mountain. A snowpark and its halfpipe (located down La Berneuse) and a skicross piste (down Chaux de Mont) form Leysin’s freestyle park. But this ski resort is not only for ski lovers, it also offers : 50km of demarcated routes for snowshoeing / House of Nordic Area (with locker and waxing room) / 2 sports centers offering swimming pool, ice-skating rink, tennis, squash, fitness center, …
“Le Kuklos” cannot be overlooked if you’re on a vacation in Leysin ; it is located at 2048m of altitude and offers a 360° panoramic view over Alps’ summits (Eiger, Mount White, Cervin, Dents du midi …) Other characteristic of Leysin : the Tobogganing Park. It is a park made up of snow toboggans with huge curves. You can descent with a snow tubing. Shivers guaranteed if you are looking for extreme sensations !
