Lake Louise has over 145 trails in total, including over 110 perfectly trodden … and countless off-trail options. Beginners should not be afraid of this large number of surfaces and slopes, because from each ski lift there is a green slope so that even most beginners can enjoy the whole area.

A ski resort generally open from November and which closes its doors to the public in May. Sustainable development of the Lake Louise ski resort

Lake Louise Ski Area is establishing a long-term strategy to address environmental, visitor experience and education initiatives.

The current plan is nearly four decades old and was developed in 1981. The time has come to review, revise and update it.


It will further protect vulnerable areas and local species, whilst raising environmental awareness and conservation goals for future generations. Everybody will be able to discover and connect with the unique natural and cultural heritage in a more authentic and memorable way.

Lake Louise mountain resort in summer
