Civetta is a ski resort situated in a North Eastern region of Italy. It is located in the region of the Vénétie in the province of Belluno and is part the splendid mountain chain of the Dolomites, belonging to Unesco World Heritage.

Sustainable development of the Civetta ski resort

The Civetta ski resort, is one of the Belluno ski areas that is part of the Dolomiti Superski carousel,

and it has presented three plans to the Province for the commitment with sustainability in its resort.

The first concerns Alleghe; the second involves the replacement of a ski lift in Zoldo; and then there is Palafavera, where a project has been put in place that also includes the relocation of a biotope in collaboration with the offices of Palazzo Piloni, with a view to environmental sustainability.

Skiing from 2100 metres to 1000 metres above sea level

Three ski lift facilities in the Civetta area provide a pleasant and comfortable ride to stunning high altitude sites. A 6-person cable car goes up to Piani di Pezzè in the centre of Alleghe, where you can go farther on foot or take the optional 8-person cable car up to Col dei Baldi.

Mountain bikes can be transported on both lifts. The Pian del Crep cable car from Pecol di Zoldo Alto is opened in summer and is also suited for the transport of mountain bikes.

Alleghe is the ideal starting point for some of the most beautiful climbs in the Dolomites.

Rifugio Coldai

The Coldai Refuge welcomes you, in the heart of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Coldai Refuge is part of the “Waves Over Mountains” project for information technology in the Dolomites, opened in 1905 at 2,135 metres above sea level, offers 88 beds + 8 in the winter room.

It is the starting point for various ascents, Civetta, Monte Coldai, Torre coldai, Torre d’Alleghe and some traverses to Rifugi Tissi, Vazzoler and Carestiato, Rifugio Torrani, Bivacco Grisetti.

Rifugio Passo Staulanza ***

Tucked away along the forested, scenic Forcella Staulanza pass in the Dolomites, this friendly mountain hut is set overlooking the SP251 road.
