The Anzère ski resort

Born in the 1960s, Anzère is a classic village resort. Cosy, family-friendly and small, where the landscape and the mountain atmosphere prevail. It is 15 kilometres from Sion and less than 2 hours from Geneva by car. It is a vantage point overlooking the Rhone valley and the mountains of the Valais and the nearby Mont Blanc massif.

Compared to the nearby resorts of Crans Montana or Verbier, Anzère is quite small and family friendly. But in addition to its 50 km of skiable pistes and the hospitality typical of small resorts, it offers great possibilities for off-piste and ski mountaineering in a very accessible terrain.

The ski slopes

The Anzère ski resort has 58 km of slopes, including 12 km of blue slopes, 37 km of red slopes and 9 km of black slopes. It has 14 lifts, 3 ski lifts, 1 chairlift, 3 T-bars and 3 belts and 4 other lifts. It has a minimum altitude of 1,500 metres and a maximum altitude of 2,420 metres (920 metres difference in altitude).

From the two summits of the resort, Pas de Maimbre and Le Bàte, you can access an area of peaks ranging between 2,500 and 2,700 metres. In this respect, the jewel of the resort is the ascent of the Wildhorn (3247 metres), with an important glacier and a frequent destination for Heliskiing. Ski resort activities

The Anzèle ski resort, in addition to ski and snowboard schools, full of professionals who will make you a real ski lover, offers alternative activities. The Les Rousses piste, a toboggan run starting from the Les Rousses chairlift, offers a magnificent descent of about 4 km parallel to the ski slope. During the winter season you will also have the option of paragliding, as this activity is available all year round. Soaring through the skies you can enjoy snowy views of the Valais valley.

Sustainable development of the Anzère ski resort

The CDDA is a centre for tourism, research and training on the theme of sustainable development, designed to inspire, share and act with the population, proposing concrete and inspiring solutions for a future of autonomy. It is a non-profit cooperative supported by a team of volunteers from the region with the support of the municipalities of Arbaz, Ayent, Anzère Tourisme and the State of Valais.
