Alpincenter Winttenburg

The Alpincenter is a huge urban skiing facility in Germany. It is an indoor ski slope that operates 365 days a year. It is located in the town of Wittenburg, approximately 90 km east of Hamburg. It can be easily reached by car from Hamburg by taking the A24 motorway in the direction of Berlin and leaving at the Wittenburg exit.

If you don’t have a car, you have the option to reach the indoor ski slope Alpincenter Winttenburg by public transport from Hamburg, taking a train to Hagenow Land station and from there a bus or taxi.

Prices vary depending on the season and the duration of the entrance fee (two hours, half day, full day). Approximately 30-50 euros per person for a full-day pass. The two-hour pass option is the one we consider most interesting with prices of €15 for adults and €12.50 for children (information updated in 2024).

The temperature conditions tend to vary very little, staying at 1 ° C all the time inside the sports facility. The main slope is 330 metres long and 80 metres wide.

Like other indoor skiing facilities, there is a Snow Park with a separate area with obstacles and ramps for snowboarders and freestyle skiers.

You don’t even need to bring your own ski equipment. If you’re visiting Germany and feel like skiing, just come along as the Alpincenter offers equipment rental services, including skis, snowboards, boots, helmets and ski clothing. Equipment hire can cost an additional 20-30 euros per day, depending on the type and quality of equipment.

Ski and snowboard schools are available with lessons for all ages and levels with professional instructors.
