Los Penitentes

Los Penitentes is a Ski Resort located in the province of Mendoza in Argentina, 15 miles away from the Argentina-Chile border and 105 miles away from the city of Mendoza. First opened in 1979, Los Penitentes’ total surface of about 30 hectares is full of powdery, dry snow -most of the season- and divided into 25 slopes, ranged by their difficulty levels. Some of them have been authorised by the FASA and the FIS for competitive skiing.

Opened in 1979, its ski area covers more than 300 hectares. With excellent dry and compact snow during the best months of the season. Many of the resort’s slopes are FASA and FIS approved and are used for major competitions.

With a capacity of 1,950 beds, its hotel infrastructure is made up of hotels and hostels, most of them located at the foot of the slopes, so that you can leave and return with your skis on.
