Snow reliability is a key strength, supported by one of the most advanced snowmaking systems in the region. Combined with its high-altitude location, this guarantees excellent skiing conditions from late November to early May. Among the highlights is a spectacular downhill slope of approximately 11 kilometres, allowing skiers to descend from an altitude of 3,000 metres to 1,400 metres without needing to take a lift. For thrill seekers, the resort offers an extreme black piste with a slope steeper than 70%, groomed by a specially equipped snow groomer using a winch system. The ski slopes
The Ischgl ski resort has fully groomed slopes, serviced by 46 mechanical lift systems including cable cars, gondolas, chair lifts and T-bars. The resort offers an extensive and varied domain of slopes covering 515 hectares, with artificial snowmaking supported by 1,100 snow cannons, making the ski area highly snow-reliable.
It has a total skiable area of 239 kilometres, divided into 47 km of blue and green pistes, 143 km of red pistes and 49 km of black pistes. The base of the resort is situated at an altitude of 1,377 metres, while the highest lift-accessible point reaches up to 2,872 metres at the Greitspitze. The diverse terrain offers suitable slopes for every skill level, from beginners to experts.
In recent years, Ischgl has invested heavily in lift infrastructure, replacing older systems with high-capacity and energy-efficient lifts like the Velilleckbahn and the upgraded Pardatschgratbahn. These improvements have significantly reduced waiting times while enhancing the comfort and speed of the transport system.

With hits like Counting Stars and Apologize, the Grammy-nominated band thrilled over 16,000 fans in spring-like alpine conditions. The event, part of the Spring Blanc festival series, ended with a vibrant fireworks display over the mountains, sealing Ischgl’s reputation as a destination where snow and music meet in spectacular fashion.
Culinary delights
From July to October 2025, Ischgl and the surrounding Paznaun region will become a hotspot for food lovers with the return of the Culinary Paznaun event series. This summer highlight blends Alpine charm with gourmet creativity, as top regional chefs present exclusive dishes in selected mountain huts. The festivities begin with the traditional Gourmet Market in Ischgl, where visitors can sample refined creations in a friendly, open-air setting. Throughout the summer, hut festivals offer unforgettable culinary moments, as chefs take over alpine chalets and serve their signature dishes surrounded by panoramic mountain views, live music, and a welcoming hut atmosphere. It’s a unique way to experience Tyrolean culture through its cuisine.

Held from 7 to 15 June 2025 on grass courts at the historic TC Weissenhof, the ATP 250 event attracts top international players and tennis fans from around the world. Ischgl mountain resort in summer
In Paznaun you have 1,000 kilometres of signposted hiking trails through the most beautiful valley in the Tyrol and nearby towns such as Galtür, Kappl and See. Many of the trails cross at Ischgl, so it’s a good idea to use one of the cable cars to get to the starting point of your hike.
