Sustainable development of the Ischgl ski resort
Experts consider sustainability to be a “key issue”, especially for the promotion of summer tourism development. Nowadays, when choosing a holiday destination, tourists are increasingly taking this requirement into account and, as a result, they choose their destination based on this aspect.
According to a study by the Austrian Ministry of the Environment, a summer holiday in the Austrian mountains is one of the most climate-friendly types of travel.
“THE EFFICIENT OPERATION OF THE ROPEWAYS AND THE HIGH LEVEL OF USE OF RENEWABLE ENERGIES ON SITE CONTRIBUTE TO THIS”.
says Hannes Parth, Vice President of the Austrian Ropeway Association. The development of the mountain experience by ropeway is characterised by its low impact.
For this reason, the Ischgl resort has numerous high-tech ski lifts to contribute to the efficient operation of the resort. At the same time, the resort is also committed to the seasonal adjustment and thus promotes the development of tourism in the area.
