White Water Ski resort is situated near the town of Neslon also known as ‘the Queen City’ and famous for the architecture of its buildings. You can access the city nd then the ski station taking the highway 3A, the nearest airport being Castlegar. It is the place to be for powder snow with epic snowfalls from the beginning of winter and fresh powder snow from the end of December to early April if you arrive after the snowfall!

It is deep and fresh and added to the large number of slopes, White Water has everything to be one of the most attrative stations of the country. Throughout a winter season, more than 12 meters (40 feet) of dry snow fall, added to the low temperature of the country – -8 degrees Celsius on average in winter- the quality of the snow is absolutely excellent.

White Water ski resort: off-piste adventure

You have a huge number of slopes and a Snow park, but what is even more attractive is the off-piste adventure: you can ski through the forest, experience skiing in untouched snow bowls or glades. Whether you prefer the Glory ridge side, the Summit side, or the Silver king side, you are sure to find what you are looking for.

The resort totals 4 lifts and 82 runs! The 4 lifts can take you up the Silver King, the Glory Ridge or the summit and you can then go down one of the slopes, depending on your level. The last triple chair was settled in in 2010 and the three others are two double chairs and one tow.

From the easiest to the hardest, the resort provides all types of runs adapted to beginners as well as experts, and you can experience both the Alpine Terrain and the Nordic and Multi-Use Trail.

The Alpine Terrain is dedicate to the ski and snowboard using artificial lifts, however the Nordic And Multi-Use Trail offers you an even broader range of trails without artificial locomotion, it is absolutely ideal for cross-country skiing. But be careful if you go off-piste because due to the size of the snow-pack and how steep the mountain is, avalanches are a real risk around the resort. Be well-informed before going off trail.

Sustainable development of the White Water ski resort

Whitewater was awarded a silver award in January 2020 as part of Sustainable Tourism Canada’s Certification Program.

Upon receiving this recognition, Whitewater will continue to work closely with Green Step to enhance and further develop its sustainability policies and practices.

White Water actively encourages staff and guests to reduce their impact on the environment by carpooling and taking public transport where possible. As of March 2019, a priority parking area near the day lodge has been introduced for high-occupancy vehicles carrying 3 or more passengers. Shuttle buses are provided where feasible for the use of staff and guests.
