Located 5019 feet above sea level, Nevadas de Chillán has 32 carefully conditionated slopes. It’s settled in the area of Biobío, 120 miles east from Concepción, 50 miles west from Chillán and 252 miles south from Santiago de Chile.
Thanks to its lift system – four chairlifts and five ski lifts -, users can access to all of its slopes and appreciate the impressive 3.608 feet vertical drop from top of the mountain. Nevadas de Chillán holds the honour of owning South America’s longest slope; Las Tres Marías reaches 8 miles length and is immersed in a stunning area of ancient forests and freshly fallen, untouched, soft snow.
Of its total area, 30% is made for beginners, 40% for intermediate users, and the remaining thirty percent is for those veterans, experienced skiers looking for new challenges.
Termas de Chillán has three complete ski rental stores located in Gran Hotel, Hotel Pirigallo and the resort’s service center, where users can find skiing equipment for all levels and needs. In addition, Nevados de Chillán offers multiple alternative activities such as nordic skiing, snowboarding, snow cat skiing, snowmobiles or even dog sleds.
