Ski resort sheet
To explore the resort of Les Saisies is to escape life through a dream of nature. Its vast expanses reach altitudes between 1,600 and 2,050 meters. The “Savoy snow loft” unfolds over a 360° panorama view of Mont Blanc. Mountains, pine forests and a plateau will make you feel as though you were in Lapland. But here you have the sun as a bonus!
All around is the large Espace Diamant ski area which provides skiing for all styles. Perfect for experiencing a sense of freedom during family micro-adventures, while staying in France, for many, a stone’s throw from home.
Reconnect yourself to nature, and share with others
No need to go far, nor to wait for the summer holidays, adventure is within reach for all those with a pair of mittens.
Facing Mont Blanc, the grandiose panorama offered by the resort and its surroundings will remain etched in your memory forever. Les Saisies is one of the more charming resorts, made up of chalets and residences, which has managed to preserve an architecture that blends perfectly into the landscapes. In Beaufortain you will be able to appreciate the plentiful natural wood and stone.
Les Saisies is a village resort of a more modest scale, family orientated and friendly, which has managed to preserve, over the course of its development, a traditional and harmonious architecture in the heart of unspoiled nature.
Les Saisies: a balcony on Mont Blanc
On arrival at the Chard du Beurre chairlift, at an altitude of 1,900 m, one can reach, on foot or by ski, the “Balcon sur Le Mont Blanc”, hidden behind a pine forest. Picnic tables, standing rests, giant chairs and incredible scenery provide a space for reflection in front of the views of Mont-Blanc, Pierra Menta and the Aravis massif. A 200 m2 wooden larch construction, perfectly integrated into its environment.
Les Saisies and Diamant areas
There are two areas to choose from, accessible from Les Saisies. Espace Diamant, comprises of 192 km of skiing bliss between Beaufortain and Val d’Arly. It allows ski-in / ski-out links to the resort villages of Praz-sur-Arly, N.D. de Bellecombe, Flumet, Crest-Voland, Les Saisies and Hauteluce.
The ski resort of Les Saisies has grown considerably in recent years. It now offers more than 77km of slopes from the resort to the pass but also from Hauteluce and Bisanne 1500.
You can also find the “Mountain Twister”, an “all-season” sled, mounted on rails. A source of thrills almost 800 meters long with some sections that raise up 8 meters above ground. The sled provides a “Space Mountain” atmosphere in Les Saisies.
Tobogganing is also practiced here and at night with the “Luge’n Troll”. A fun activity to practice with family or friends. And don’t miss the skijoring, a new horse-driven toboggan accessible to all (children from 4 years old, 1st star level, skijoring handicap). Experience new sensations of gliding to the rhythm of horses!
A Nordic area with international scope
Between the plateau and the forest, dotted with small clearings, a 120km cross-country ski area extends over natural surroundings of exceptional beauty. It offers a view of Mont-Blanc, far from the ski lifts, noise and crowds.
As for distractions and activities, you will be spoiled at Les Saisies. The resort offers snowshoeing or dog sledding, paragliding, snowmobiling, the Le Signal aqua sport center and even biathlon.
Known worldwide from the Albertville Olympic Games which took place 1992, the area hosted cross-country skiing and biathlon events. Les Saisies area is also the favorite playground of Justine Braisaz and Julia Simon, two who carry the colors of the resort high on the international biathlon circuit. It’s no wonder 2 tracks bear their names!
