Ski resort sheet
Located in the middle of the Oisans, in Isère Valley and the Ródano-Alpes region, Les Deux Alpes is a great ski area of 417 hectares.
In total, it has 93 slopes and 53 skilifts. With natural snow thanks to the glacier located at 3600 mts over sea level, Les Deux Alpes is one of the highest peaks that can be skied on, and its connected with Vallons de la Grave/La Meije. The glacier makes skiing posible throughout the year.
A cable car built under the ice transports visitors up to 3450 mts high. From there, they can enjoy panoramic views of the Alps, including the Mont Blanc, L’Alpe d’Huez and the Massif de Vercors.
The slopes are distributed in a different way from other resorts. Strangely enough, the easiest slopes are in the highest area, while the most difficult ones can be found in the lowest heights.
Less experienced skiers can take a cable car to get to the village or slide down on a long, narrow slope. Next to town there’s a large area with slopes for beginners.
