Fernie Alpine resort is one of the highest ski resorts of Alberta, Canada and well-known for its heavy snow falls in winter. To access the station take the Crowsnest highway toward Pincher Creek, Fort Macleod and Calgary and take the exit at Fernie Ski Hill Road. Catering and hotel services are provided directly on the station which feature 9 restaurants directly in the resort.

The resort, located on the Lizard Range is one of the biggest one of the region, it features slopes on 5 different bowls, the Timber Bowl and Currie Bowl with runs for all level of skiers through the forest, the Lizard Bowl designed for beginners, the Cedar Bowl and the Siberia Bowl with the hardest slopes and the 5 kilometers long run, the Falling star.

There is a beginner area on the lower part of the mountain and the Minimoose Conveyor on the bottom part of the station is ideal for a first time skiing.

Due to the low temperature level and the heavy snow fall, it is the place to be for snow lovers and skiers that prefer powder snow. In a season the station receives up to 11 meters of snow!

And the elevation level guarantees the snow cover, you can go to 2134 meters at the Polar Peak! This station implemented in an old mining area is fast growing and also provide after ski facilities in the nearby village of Fernie in the Rocky Mountains.

Visit and explore this historical city full of legends which history dates back to 1890 when the gold prospector William Fernie discovered coal in the region and negotiated the exploration with the Indian tribes.
