But beyond its traditional side, the resort is also considered as one of the cradles of Freeride and New School. It has 300 kilometres of medium-difficulty runs and over 100 kilometres of downhill runs that will give you a thrill.

Verbier St Bernard and the 4 valleys

The resort of Verbier St Bernard is part of the large ski area known as “the 4 valleys”. The largest ski area in Switzerland, you will have access to extreme ski zones thanks to the “High Mountain Tours”, not to mention the immense descents which you can enjoy in complete peace of mind given the size of the ski area.

Today, Verbier retains the advantages that earned it the title of best Swiss ski resort two years running.

  • First of all, an infinite playground. The resort is directly linked to the 4 Valleys ski area, with legendary slopes and peaks, wide open spaces that are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for nature lovers, a plethora of activities for the whole family, and an unbeatable offer of thrills.
  • And, for the greatest happiness of gourmets and epicureans, a multitude of good spots: on the slopes, on the terrace or in the charming little streets. Because Verbier St Bernard has something for everyone.

The ski resort of Verbier St. Bernard is committed to sustainable development

The Trail participates in the redeployment of the arole in the St. Bernard region

The proximity of the characteristics of the arole to the profile of the trailer particularly appealed to the Trail Committee, which wished to commit itself to its recrudescence in the region. This is how the Verbier St-Bernard Trail Arolla Forest was born in 2016, which you can find at the entrance to La Fouly. Each year, the organisation and several volunteers get together for a planting day, and to date more than 100 aroles have populated the forest!

THE TRAIL ORGANISATION IS TAKING NUMEROUS MEASURES TO REDUCE THE ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT OF THE EVENT.

For example, each runner has to take a cup with them along the route to avoid throwing thousands of plastic cups into the environment. Most of the equipment in the stations is reused over the years. Each station leader is given a list of recommendations to avoid wasting energy and materials at the sites and to reduce noise pollution in the villages as much as possible.
