Tips from the I Love Ski Community for skiing in Val d’Allos
Make the most of the early hours. Due to its orientation and altitude, the snow is usually best between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., especially at the higher altitudes of La Foux. Afterwards, the sunny terraces invite you to take a break and enjoy the views.
Explore the link with Pra Loup. The Col d’Allos pass allows you to enjoy the entire Espace Lumière ski area. Plan your return in advance: if it is windy, the link may be temporarily closed.
If you are traveling with your family, choose Le Seignus. Direct access from the village, well-marked green and blue slopes, and a peaceful atmosphere make it an ideal place to learn and enjoy skiing with children.
Try the forest slopes. The descents in the Aiguille area offer skiing among beautiful larch trees, with soft snow and great visibility even on cloudy days.
Discover the local cuisine. Mountain cheeses, valley honeys, artisanal charcuterie, and the famous “ravioles” of Haute-Provence deserve as much attention as the slopes.
