Saint Gervais

France | Región: Northern Alps

Nestled in the heart of the Northern Alps, between Megève and Chamonix, Saint-Gervais-les-Bains is a resort with unique charm, where heritage, mountains and well-being come together in perfect harmony. Located both in the Mont Blanc region and on the route to Europe’s highest peaks, it holds a remarkable record: the commune rises to an altitude of 4,810 metres, thanks to the inclusion of the summit of Mont Blanc within its territory. This makes Saint-Gervais the highest commune in France and Western Europe.

The Saint Gervais ski area

The Saint-Gervais-les-Bains ski area is part of the vast Évasion Mont-Blanc, one of the largest ski areas in France with 445 km of slopes spread over 219 runs. This playground connects several iconic resorts such as Megève, Combloux, Les Contamines-Hauteluce and La Giettaz, offering a variety of landscapes and levels for all skiers.

For those looking for a unique experience, the Tramway du Mont-Blanc, France’s highest rack railway, transports skiers to the Plateau de Bellevue, offering privileged access to the Houches area and breathtaking views of the Bionnassay glacier.

Thrill seekers will enjoy the snowparks dedicated to freestylers and the off-piste trails near Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce and Mont-Joly. Thanks to favourable exposure and the installation of more than 650 snow cannons, snow quality is guaranteed throughout the season.
