
Les Arcs is a ski and winter sports resort in the Tarentaise Valley, located on the municipal territory of Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Landry, Peisey-Nancroix and Villaroger, in the Savoie department in the Auvergne region -Rhône-Alpes.

Les Arcs is divided into two areas: Arc 1600 and Arc 1800, and Arc 1950 and Arc 2000. The areas of Les Arcs, Peisey Vallandry and La Plagne are linked by the incredible Vanoise Express cable car. They form the Paradiski area, one of the largest ski areas in France. With over 425km of pistes, Paradiski has something for everyone. And it goes without saying that 70% of the ski area is above 2000m.

The Pic de l’Aiguille rouge (3226m), is located on the heights of the Arcs 2000 ski area and is accessible by a cable car. It represents the roof of the ski area and offers spectacular views over the Alps. Its footbridge offers a breathtaking panorama accessible to pedestrians, children and skiers!
Les Arcs, for all tastes and colours
The ski area of Les Arcs is very complete with slopes for all tastes and all levels. Three of them are slalom runs. There are also 3 facilities dedicated to the new trends of Freestyle with many events throughout the season, as well as many snow parks and boarder cross which will delight thrill-seekers. An efficient snowmaking network ensures reliable snowmaking throughout the area.
Off-Piste
The ski resort of Les Arcs also includes 8 NATURE runs (unmodified, marked and secured natural runs), including the most difficult run in the resort. They are considered as off-piste itineraries that must be practiced with great caution.
Finally, after a day of skiing, there is nothing better than to relax and recharge your batteries at “La Piscine”, a 3800 m2 aqualudic centre located in the middle of the Arc 1800 slopes. The 4,000 hectares that make up the playground of Les Arcs are rich in landscapes, fauna and flora. Bordered by protected natural areas such as the Hauts de Villaroger National Reserve and the Vanoise National Park, it is essential to ensure the health of the ecosystem and its biodiversity.
An environmental observatory
In 2012, the ski resort of Les Arcs created an environmental observatory, which allows the study and mapping of the species that inhabit it. The establishment of this observatory has significantly improved knowledge of the state of biodiversity and landscapes.
IIT IS ALSO FULLY INTEGRATED INTO THE DEVELOPMENT AND DESIGN PROCESS OF NEW DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS ON THE ESTATE,
to reconcile its activities with environmental protection. For example, every year, reforestation and planting of species is carried out. The choice of work periods is made to minimise the impact on wildlife.

A breathtaking view
A footbridge has been installed so that everyone can contemplate the exceptional beauty of the Alps. Accessible free of charge to pedestrians, children and skiers alike, the footbridge extends over several dozen metres and is bordered by a glass railing at the end of each overhang. Impressive!
On one side, you can see the majestic Alps. On the other, you overlook the Hauts de Villaroger nature reserve, a wild site where protected flora and fauna flourish. In coordination with the ONF, an educational trail has been set up to inform and educate visitors about the natural treasures of the reserve.
