Skiing in Las Leñas means enjoying one of Argentina’s best ski resorts thanks to the quality of its snow, its great variety of slopes and its fabulous areas to practice off-piste. Las Leñas is the ideal place for professional and intermediate skiers, as well as for beginners.
Las Leñas offers a skiing area of 17 500 hectares divided in 29 slopes reachable by 14 modern ski lifts. Located a few kilometers away from Mendoza, this ski center is one of the highest and most modern in Argentina.
The resort is also a real heaven for the practice of extreme skiing and heliskiing. Las Leñas offers a vertical difference in height of 1 200m with a summit of 3 430m while the foot of the slopes is at 2 240m of altitude. Besides its classic slalom stadium, the ski resort of Las Leñas offers one of the longest slopes in South America.
With a length of nearly 7km, this piste is ideal for intermediate skiers and it also includes the slopes of Alpolo, Neptuno and Venus with a surprising route making the local skiers very proud. The most experienced will have the possibility to ski by night on more than 2 km of illuminated slopes.
The absence of snow is not a problem in Las Leñas because the ski resort owns 30 snow cannons. Las Leñas is a reference in the Andes, with a shopping center and a museum allowing visitors to learn more about the valley’s history.
