Sustainable development of the Glenshee ski resort
While ski holidays don’t have the most eco-friendly credentials, plenty of resorts around the world are striving to be more environmentally friendly and eco-conscious.
Everyone likes to flee the bustling cities for the tranquil mountains during the ski season that fuels our own passions. Yet even though we feel closer to nature, ski resorts consume a lot of energy throughout the entire mountain and in the villages.
Worldwide there are already signs of what climate warming is doing to ski areas,
which is why in the last few years ski resorts like the Glenshee ski resort, in the Scottish Highlands, have already begun to tackle it
and to be more responsible towards the environment.
