Chapa Verde

Chapa Verde ski resort was created by a group of workers from El Teniente, a copper mine near Rancagua owned by Codelco, a minery state chilean company. Their goal was, mainly, to enjoy the Andes’ characteristical beauty and peace.

This way they created the Chapa Verde Ski Club, known today as Chapa Verde Ski Center. Chapa Verde is located 35 miles away from Rancagua; it rises near 8000 feet at its base and 10000 feet at its highest point.

Skiers will find twenty different slopes rated by their difficulty levels as well as one chair lift and four ski lifts. Two restaurants, one ski and snowboard school and two establishments where you can either buy or rental your ski equipment complete Chapa Verde’s available services.
