Beaver Creek Ski Resort

Beaver Creek Resort, which opened to skiers in 1980, is linked to Vail, America’s largest winter destination that is just 10 minutes away.
In fact, its founders were the same people whose vision forever changed the landscape of the Eagle River Valley in the Rocky Mountains.

The ski slopes

With a base at 2,255 metres and a summit at 3,488 metres, the resort offers 1,233 metres of vertical drop in Colorado’s most attractive mountains. It also has 150 km of skiable slopes of which 28 km are green, 66 km are blue and 56 km are black.

Its 24 ski lifts (2 gondolas, 14 chairlifts, 8 carpet lifts) give access to 741 hectares of slopes of all levels. The Centennial run is the longest in the resort, with a total length of more than 4 and a half kilometres.

Ski resort activities

Don’t feel like skiing or snowboarding? The resort has many other activities and events. Try a “Gourmet Snowshoe Tour”, go on a snowshoeing expedition and enjoy après-ski wines at the end. Another option at the resort is ice skating or if you prefer you can sit by the campfire with a hot chocolate and watch the others skate.

For the little ones, there are learning areas at the base of the resort. With soft terrain, magic carpets and mountain dining, including The Parlor, it is the best place to build confidence and improve in a fun and safe environment.

Sustainable development of Beaver Creek Ski Resort

Sustainable Travel International has certified Beaver Creek resort as a sustainable mountain destination. It is the first ski resort in the United States and the world to receive this recognition.

This recognition is based on the various sustainable measures the resort has taken throughout its history, such as the protection of open spaces and the creation of the “Vail Nature Center and Preserve”. The resort also expects to make environmental improvements and reduce its carbon footprint by 2030.

it is worth noting the resort’s commitment to meeting the highest standards of sustainability, such as sustainable management, socio-economic impacts, cultural impacts and environmental impacts.

Because the ski resort is leading the way in sustainable initiatives in the world’s largest mountain communities, it is hoped that it can have an impact on other resorts and that they, in turn, will choose to emulate it.

Unforgettable experiences at Beaver Creek

The incredible “Magic of Lights” experience is a unique celebration that offers a memorable activity to share with family or friends. You can enjoy half a million lights that will be artistically displayed along Ford Park’s Lower Bench and culminate in the beautiful Betty Ford Gardens. This is an area that most people don’t visit during the winter, so be prepared to be amazed this season east of Vail Village.
