The slopes of Ascou

Ascou has 17 slopes of different levels and seven ski lifts, five of which are drag lifts. Thanks to its proximity to the Pyrenees National Park and the Spanish border, escape is guaranteed.

Ascou also has a toboggan run, a rental shop and a ski school. It offers various activities, such as workshops to discover mountain crafts and torch-lit descents. For all ages.

Unforgettable experiences in Ascou

Grab a harness and go ice climbing with the Bureau des Guides des Pyrénées Ariégeoises: a group offering all kinds of activities and outings. Climb a multi-pitch icefall. To do this, you must be at least 18 years old, in good physical shape and have been ice climbing before. If not, don’t worry. You can participate in the beginners’ level, accessible from the age of 16, where you will learn the basics of the discipline, including the different progression techniques. All the equipment is provided by the organisers, so all you need is a rucksack, hiking boots, suitable clothing, gloves and a picnic.

If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, discover the Fatbike or snow bike! Explore the mountains on these bikes with oversized tyres. The only condition to take part in this two-hour ride is that you must be over 1.45m tall. Don’t forget to bring hiking boots, ski clothing (gloves, sunglasses and goggles) and a rucksack with plenty of food and drink.
