ARAMON Formigal-Panticosa is located in the Spanish province of Huesca, in the village of Sallent de Gállego. It is formed by an urbanization attached to the Aramón Formigal ski resort, a few kilometers from the border with France, which is accessed through the port of Portalet.

The Formigal resort, with its 137 skiable kilometers, has become one of the largest ski destinations in Spain. The quality of its completely renovated ski lifts and its state-of-the-art facilities will allow us to enjoy a very modern and accessible resort for all audiences.

ARAMON Formigal-Panticosa: a resort full of services

One of the hallmarks of the Formigal ski resort is its range of services: multiple and diverse places to eat on the slopes, snow gardens, ski and snowboard equipment rental, photography service on the slopes, lockers, ski storage, transport to trails, possibility to reserve a place in the parking lot and even a white bus in order to avoid the use of private vehicle.

All the access areas to the resort, Panticosa, Sextos, Sarrios, Anayet and Portalet gondolas, have numerous coffee shops at the base of the slopes, which can be accessed directly by car. The resort has special ride vouchers so you can enjoy both the snow and the incredible views, in the Panticosa sector and in the Formigal sector.

Formigal, flagship of the Aramón group, has one of the busiest and crowded places in Spain’s ski resorts, where dancing, music, and good atmosphere are guaranteed without having to take off your ski boots: Marchica.

A few meters from the Formigal ski resort, we find a modern urbanization with a large hotel building and a wide range of activities. It is possible to ski in Formigal and stay in any of the villages close to the resort, thanks to the convenient access by road and the wide offer of hotels.

ARAMON Formigal-Panticosa: pitch for all levels

Formigal has a great ski area with slopes of different levels for all tastes: Cantals for beginners, Izas and Sarrios for medium skiers and Tres Hombres for advanced skiers. We find areas of controlled speed (areas for children and especially beginners) and a video-slalom trail.

In the rental areas of the lower part of the gondolas (Panticosa sector) and in Sextas, Anayet and Portalet (Formigal sector) you have rental of ski, snowboard, snowblade equipment, being able to choose between the progress and high range, depending on your needs. You also have Freestyle, bottom and racket equipment, but only in the Formigal sector

Skiing in ARAMON Formigal-Panticosa will be a real pleasure for carving fans, since we will not find any trees and the slopes are more like tremendous snow highways that go through and descend the valleys of the domain, ideal for making wide turns safely. Progressively, the Formigal ski resort is developing its most supportive face, with projects that benefit groups with fewer resources.

How to get to the resort

Its 4 car parkings with access by different roads to the different areas, manage to distribute the skiers and avoid saturation problems at the beginning of the day. Speaking of leisure, this resort offers a varied offer of apres-ski, from all kinds of activities, to animations, bars and discos in its surroundings that will allow you to also enjoy, not only skiing but the festive atmosphere of a reference within Spanish resorts. A public transport service is also available to access the resort.

In the Formigal sector, there is a free Ski-Bus service that makes the round trip route from the Formigal urbanization (stop at the square clock) to the accesses of Sextas and Anayet, uninterruptedly from 8:30 until 17:30 p.m. There is also a smaller service to the chalets area. And on weekends and on the eve of holidays, the service runs from Marchica to the urbanization from 17:00 p.m. to 21:30 p.m.

In the Panticosa sector, the bus starts at the Argualas Urbanization and stops at all Panticosa hotels until you reach the bottom of the cable car, uninterruptedly during the resort’s opening hours. There is also a smaller service to Pueyo de Jaca.

There is also a free bus service that makes the route from the Formigal sector to the Panticosa sector stopping in Escarrilla, daily and uninterruptedly from 8:30 am to 17:30 pm. On Saturdays and eve of holidays it is also available until 21:30 p.m. (last service at this time in the direction of the Panticosa sector).

Few upgrades during the last years

It is the season that has grown the most in recent years, reaching up to 130km of current slopes, placing it as the largest and second-largest Spanish ski resort in the Pyrenees.

Is the result of the union of mechanical lifts in four valleys (Portalet, Anayet, Izas / Sarrios and Tres Hombres / Sextas). Is a varied skiable domain, with an impresive slope and with access to very distributed tracks.

Belonging to the Aramón group, in recent seasons huge amounts of money have been invested to expand and modernize the network of ski lifts, artificial snow and trails, becoming a benchmark in terms of modernity of facilities and resort design.
We must highlight the quality of the access road, except in some small section, since it is wide straight and fast. This is the ideal complement for a resort like Formigal, always keeping up its aspirations.
