Schladming is a beautiful and historical city at the heart of Dachstein Tauern’s skiable domain. It is a big ski resort built on 4 mountains able to compete with big international ski resorts. Wide runs in forests, perfect for intermediate skiers.
Schladminger 4-Berge-Skischaukel, the skiing area gathering 4 mountains, has a total of 244 hectares of pistes. It is almost the same as 400 soccer fields ! Despite the fact that this ski resort is often chosen to host the World’s Cup, not all pistes are hard to ski down, on the contrary many runs are adapted for intermediate levels.
The skiable domain is oriented towards North and enables to have nice snow conditions all day long. From Schladming, a telecabin gives access to Monte Planai from which you can reach the altitude domain Mount Hauser Kaibling and the valleys of Mounts Hochwurzen and Reiteralm. 4 mountains, 4 ski resorts with numerous varied pistes at the heart of nice forests.
The domains of Fageralmet and Galsterbergalm are close but they don’t have a direct connection. On the other side of the valley, you will find many ski tows adapted for beginners and others giving access to the glacier Dachstein Gletscher and its spectacular views.
You will have an easy access to the nearby ski resorts of Sportwelt, Gastein … with more than 800km of pistes and nearly 270 ski lifts. And you could even visit a frozen cave!
