
Lac Blanc is a lake in the Vosges mountains, and the name of the ski resort. It is located in the city of Orbey in the Grand Est region of the Alsace department. An imposing rock known as Rocher Hans emerges from the lake, crowned with a statue of the Virgin.

Equipped with 153 snow cannons, a detachable 6seater chairlift, 7 lifts, a children’s magic carpet and a cable rope; It is possible to go skiing almost any day during the season.
As a characteristic end-of-season event, mountain bike routes, animations and snow related activities are organized. The Vosges are a perfect destination for practicing winter sports in all its forms.

Lac Banc resort has 67 km of Nordic ski slopes, a freestyle area with boardercross and a snow park. As you can see, there are activities for all ages and for all tastes.
In Lac Blanc, the 67 km of Nordic domain are perfect for classic and skating modalities, available to the public from the beginning of the season.
The resrot is labeled “So Nordic”, a quality distinction that allows all cross-country skiers, whatever their level, to come and express themselves on beautifully drawn trails. The maintenance of the slopes is carried out on a regular basis to meet the needs of cross-country skiers and take care of their equipment. This resort has a special forfait for Nordic skiing, which can be purchased at the booth and through its website.
Nordic ski domain in Lac Blanc
Night skiing is offered until 22 p.m. and 4 nights a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday). For this modality of ski, we have lighting on the following trails: the blue “La Maze” and 3 red trails “Montjoie”, “Le Stade de Slalom” (reserved during the day with priority for training and competitions, but open all the night). To access the Boardercross and Freestyle, also illuminated until 22 pm we need to head to the Montjoie ski lift.
153 snow cannons ensure proper snow cover of the slopes throughout much of the ski area.The resort also offers two safe and limited sled runs for children and adults free of charge.
At the Blancrupt Inn, at the foot of the sled run, you can rent sleds and equipment for your day in the snow. The area also has restaurants and rest areas for lunch or a hot drink. This area, more specifically the Jacky Sport store, is located about 350 meters from the sled run.
At the Col du Calvaire we find the other sled run. It has two equipment rental stores located approximately 300 meters from the track (Auberge du Reissberg and Jacky Sport).
Sled runs are placed at Lac Blanc 1200. To get to this slope, we will do it through the Orbey and Bonhomme ski lifts. With or without snow, visit the sled runs and take in the scenery. Have fun with the family on a trail over 1 km, a 77meter drop, and 650meter runs.
After an intense day in the snow, we can relax and get off the skis
After a day outdoors, there is nothing better than a warm and comforting meal. In the mountains, food lovers are more than welcome. The area is dotted with farms and stables, one of the Alsace areas with the best gastronomy. One of the specialties is roïgabrageldi.
A real delight for those who visit the area for the first time and for the residents themselves. It is a typical dish, made with potatoes, butter, bacon, beef and onion. All accompanied by a good glass of Riesling or Gewurztraminer (or Gewurtz in Alsatian). A simple dish but seasoned with the unique flavor of local ingredients.
