La Clusaz ski resort
La Clusaz is an internationally renowned ski resort for its steep slopes, sporty atmosphere and festive après-ski evenings.
The resort has a wonderful ski area that blends into a unique environment. This is matched by the warm welcome of the local people and the characteristic Savoyard mountain treatment. It is also a resort rich in culture and traditions, where the gentleness and charm of an authentic mountain village has, year after year, adapted to the needs of visitors.
The first skiers came in 1909, but its growth as a resort began in 1956 with the construction of the Beauregard cable car. Since 1969, La Clusaz has been classified by decree as a winter sports and mountaineering resort.
The ski slopes
La Clusaz ski resort currently has a minimum altitude of 1,100 metres and a maximum altitude of 2,600 metres. In turn, it has 84 ski runs over 126 kilometres, or 96 km if we count the combined length of the slopes. The slopes are divided into 15 green, 31 blue, 30 red and 8 black. Not forgetting its 48 ski lifts for greater comfort when skiing.
Also with exceptional snow cover, the La Clusaz ski area includes the slopes of the Massif des Aravis which connects the resort to the slopes of Le Grand Bornand, Manigod and St. Jean de Sixt.

Ski resort activities
Snow holidays are not only about skiing and snowboarding. La Clusaz offers a multitude of “non-skiing” activities.
Travel the kilometres of piste from the top of Beauregard at 1,647 metres to the village at 1,100 metres on a sledge with steering wheel and brake! Supervised by qualified ski instructors, enjoy almost an hour of skiing in a dreamlike setting.

On the other hand, you can discover the forests, snowy mountain pastures and magnificent panoramas of Aravis, thanks to the 30 kms of prepared circuits at La Clusaz and the 95 kms of marked snowshoe trails in the Aravis massif. From simple family walks to full-day excursions, there is something for everyone.
Come and discover new sliding sensations! In an enchanting setting, you can breathe fresh air and freedom on the Var plateau with the ski-joëring.
Towed behind a horse, you can ride for several kilometres on the back of a galloping horse, guaranteeing strong sensations and unforgettable memories.

Moreover, from December to April, you can discover the world of sledging in the Aravis mountains. You dream of beautiful landscapes and sled dogs, come and experience a beautiful adventure! You can take a ride, pulled by 8 or 10 dogs on the Col des Aravis, 10 minutes from La Clusaz.
Last but not least. Located in the heart of the village, the indoor ice rink offers 1,000 m² of outdoor ice surface in all seasons. It is one of the best proposals to ensure the enjoyment of young and old alike.
Sustainable development of the La Clusaz ski resort
In the face of climate change, La Clusaz is committed to playing its part and transforming its model. The objective: to preserve the ability of future generations to thrive in this exceptional area.
La Clusaz is a village where, for more than a century, its elders have been able to find a subtle balance between economic development and sustainable development.
It is thanks to these pioneers that La Clusaz today perfectly represents the imaginary mountain village of the Alps, with preserved spaces, a traditional and authentic habitat, dynamic agriculture, a diversified economy, all in an exceptional setting.
AT LA CLUSAZ RESORT WE WISH TO PURSUE THESE COMMITMENTS TO RESPONSIBLE TOURISM.
To this end, work is being carried out in the 4 main areas of work of La Clusaz:
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- Securing drinking water resources.
- Diversify the range of leisure activities and experiences on offer throughout the year.
- De-seasonalisation of sporting activities.
Unforgettable experiences in La Clusaz
Let the whirlwinds flow and smash into the other participants. A new rink activity not to be missed.
The “Bumper Hurricane” consists of sliding along the ice rink on a giant float in order to crash into your opponents.
It is accessible for persons over 6 years of age. However, the seat can accommodate children under 6 years of age, accompanied by an adult. This way, the whole family can enjoy this new experience.

There is also another exceptional activity to do in the ski resort of La Clusaz. Le Dôme de l’Étoile des Neiges (the snow star dome) is an igloo for a fondue night with friends or for an unforgettable evening on the magnificent Beauregard plateau.
La Clusaz mountain resort in summer
La Clusaz has large green spaces that are out of the ordinary, a privileged location and an immense environment to enjoy with the family. A different kind of summer, far from the sea and beach destinations, where you can enjoy the simplicity of life.
The La Clusaz resort invites you to discover tandem paragliding over the village and its mountain pastures. You can also choose between first flights or educational flights. Take off on skis or snowboard from the Beauregard summit (for beginners) or from the Aiguille (for experienced skiers). All flights are supervised by state-certified professional pilots and qualified tandem pilots – don’t miss out!

It is also one of the best ways to experience the thrill of climbing in complete safety. The 700-metre via ferrata “Yves Pollet-Villard” is directly on the slopes of the border cliff and offers a spectacular route, perched between 1,500 and 1,800 metres above sea level.

And at La Clusaz, you don’t have to choose between the mountains and swimming… In winter or summer, discover a real oasis in the heart of the Alps with heated swimming pools and a breathtaking panoramic view.
In addition to the above activities, you can also go horse riding, golf, fishing, canyoning, rafting, hydrospeed and many other activities. All you have to do is come and enjoy it to the full.
