The Cambre d’Aze ski resort is a pleasant alpine ski area located in two villages: Eyne and Saint Pierre dels Forcats, in the heart of a unique natural environment. The Eyne and Saint-Pierre resorts merged to offer a unique package and promote enjoyment in these beautiful mountains of the French Pyrenees.

Cambre d’Aze is the result of the union of the Eyne and Saint Pierre dels Forcats ski resorts. These two towns, very close to each other, are located in the Pyrénées Orientales region, within the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees Regional Park, in the valleys of Capcir and the French Cerdanya and at the foot of the glacial circus that culminates with the imposing peak of Cambre d´Aze (2.750 m.). This winter resort is near the border with Puigcerdá (Spain).

Espace Cambre d’Aze is a privileged skiing area, the ski resort takes advantage of a natural snow cover and a significant quantity of cultured snow. With an exceptionnal sunshine, Le Cambre d’Aze welcomes you near Pyrénées Catalanes.

Eyne’s and Saint-Pierre’s ski resorts offer an unique package to try all board sports, whatever your level. You will be able to practice in a natural and authentic but modern setting differents board sports like alpine skiing, snow-board, rambles by snowshoes, ski touring and even sledge on fiited out ski trails.

While preserving a village life, this ski resort, Espace Cambre d’Aze, offers adapted services to families and demanding sportspersons to enjoy holidays in the fresh snow of pyrenees.

Location and distribution of the Cambre d’Aze ski resort

In a privileged ski area, the Cambre d’Aze ski resort benefits from natural snow, enhanced by a vast network of artificial snow. With exceptional sunshine, Cambre d’Aze  welcomes you at the gates of the Regional Natural Park of the Catalan Pyrenees, in France.

This ski resort stands out for its good price / quality ratio, making it very affordable for families. You will find 23 tracks along 22 km; two areas for beginners, two areas for sledding, an ice waterfall and a circuit for snowshoeing and mountain skiing. Cambre d´Aze is part of the nine Cerdanya and Capcir resorts managed by the Neiges Catalanes Group.

A privileged ski area that combines guaranteed snow thanks to snow cannons and exceptional sunshine, the Cambre d’Aze is nestled at the gates of the Catalan Pyrenees.

The Cambre d’Aze ski resort is located between the villages of Eyne and Saint-Pierre-dels-Forcats, which constitute the two access doors to the ski resort. It is also close to the Eyne National Nature Reserve.

Among authenticity and modernity, Cambre d’Aze has managed to preserve village life while offering complete services to the most demanding families and athletes.

Cambre d’Aze slopes and lifts

You will be able to enjoy the descents, not minding your skill level and in a pleasant environment. Thanks to its slopes, in the heart of an exceptional natural environment, and at the base of an imposing glacial circus. Between 1.640 m and 2.400 m above sea level, the Cambre d’Aze ski area offers 23 marked trails (22 km). You can also find two areas for beginners, two areas for sledding, snowshoe circuits and various cross-country ski routes, as well as an ice waterfall.

El Cambre d´Aze has a 22 km skiable domain. Trails served by 15 lifts: 1 chair lift, 12 ski lifts and 2 rope lifts.  The lower part of the resort is ideal for beginner skiers and families. For the most expert, at the highest levels there are very interesting red and black trails. The Cambre d´Aze slopes are supported by 157 snow cannons. For lovers of snowshoe walks, there is a free 4 km track.

From the intermediate zone of the Saint Pierre sector 1.939 m, to the base at 1650 m, there is a good sector of easy trails ideal for beginners. The intermediate trail  Petite Combe (blue) has a good layout, and the red Roc Long is perfect for sliding. Further up, from 2.400, two other very interesting reds go down, the Paul Ribell and Coulée de´Eyne, which descends towards the sector of the same name. From there, you can link the (also) red Jacques Solére with the black Noire d´Eyne. The base of this area is perfect for beginners. Both in one and another sector, there are toboggan areas, snow gardens and cafes.

Leisure and gastronomy offers at the resort

The resort has all the necessary services: ski and snowboard schools, customer service,  kindergarten and playground, aid station, equipment rentals, an aqua therapy center, shops, accommodation, bars, and restaurants.

From campsites to hotels to hostels and rural houses, the area meets has enough capacity to accommodate many tourists during winter. The rooms of the Mouli del Riu stand out, as well as the Refugi de l´Orri, Gitê du Presbitére, the Roc Blanc hotel and le Clos Cerdan. The hostels are very interesting: Center Notrê Dame, the Clé des Champs or the  EEDF Center du Cambre D´Aze.

For eating, the mix of French cuisine with the Pyrenees is a great outcome, and will leave you more than satisfied. In Saint Pierre dels Forcats: Le Bistrôt de Pays de la Maison de la Vallée, the Slalom or Corrieu in La Llagonne, 7 km away. In Eyne, we highlight the Tupi and the Roc Blanc restaurant.
