The golf courses at Les Arcs, La Rosière and Tignes are joining forces to launch the Pass Golf Montagne. Available during the summer of 2026 at a price of 135 euros, this new package allows golfers to discover three iconic courses in the Haute-Tarentaise, situated at altitudes of between 1,800 and 2,100 metres.

What if a holiday in the mountains became an opportunity to plan a proper itinerary centred around golf? For summer 2026, three resorts in the Haute-Tarentaise have decided to pool their offerings to provide a shared experience for lovers of high-altitude golf courses.

The new Pass Golf Montagne brings together the courses at Les Arcs, La Rosière and Tignes. Sold at a single price of 135 euros, it provides access to three courses with very different layouts, situated at altitudes ranging from 1,800 to 2,100 metres.

An initiative that allows visitors to discover the many facets of alpine golf whilst encouraging them to travel between the resorts in the valley.

Three mountain golf courses, three complementary experiences

The Montagne Golf Pass includes a round on the 18-hole course at Les Arcs, a round on the 9-hole course at La Rosière (with the option to play the course twice), and a round on the 18-hole course at Tignes.

In total, golfers can play up to 54 holes for 135 euros during the summer of 2026. Above all, the pass allows players to test their skills on three courses shaped by altitude, natural slopes and the specific conditions of the high mountains.

Les Arcs: skiing with a view of Mont Blanc

Situated at 1,800 metres above sea level, on the edge of the Vanoise National Park, the Golf des Arcs overlooks the Haute-Tarentaise and offers numerous views of the surrounding peaks.

The Montagne Golf Pass provides access to the Chantel course, an 18-hole, par-70 course measuring 5,522 metres. The course is characterised in particular by its slopes, small greens and the importance of approach shots. Players must learn to cope with the slopes, changes in elevation and terrain that is rarely even.

Le Golf des Arcs also features a compact nine-hole course, the Beauchet, as well as a driving range and three putting greens. For the 2026 summer season, the resort has announced that it will be open from 15 June to 27 September.

Les Arcs Golf Club

The Savoyard course was already included in our selection of the most beautiful golf courses in the French mountains, alongside other remarkable courses set in the heart of the mountain ranges.

La Rosière: a nature trail at 2,000 metres

The second stop on the pass itinerary is the La Rosière Golf Course, situated at an altitude of 2,000 metres. Regarded as the highest nine-hole course in Europe, it covers around ten hectares, set amongst the mountain pastures of the Haute-Tarentaise.

Its nine-hole, par 28 course is approved by the French Golf Federation up to index 0. The course follows the natural contours of the land and winds through a typical mountain landscape, amongst blueberry fields, high-altitude meadows and areas frequented by marmots.

As part of the Pass Golf Montagne scheme, players can play this nine-hole loop twice to complete the equivalent of an 18-hole round.

La Rosière Golf Course

The golf course also features fourteen outdoor driving range bays, eight of which are covered, a practice green and an approach area. Lessons and courses are available for golfers wishing to take up the sport or improve their technique. It is scheduled to be open from 20 June to 6 September 2026.

Originally created on a small scale by local people, the course has gradually become one of the key facilities in the resort’s summer offering.

Tignes: Europe’s highest 18-hole golf course

The third course included in the pass takes golfers to Tignes, at an altitude of over 2,100 metres, at the foot of the Grande Motte glacier.

Billed as the highest 18-hole golf course in Europe, the course overlooks Lake Tignes. The course, a par-68 layout measuring 5,005 metres, features approximately five kilometres of fairways set in a particularly open high-mountain landscape.

Altitude can also affect players’ usual points of reference. The less dense air reduces the drag on the ball, whilst changes in elevation, wind and weather conditions mean players need to adapt their choice of clubs and their assessment of ball flight.

The first nine holes of the golf course were created in 1969. A further nine holes were then added in 1991 to form the current course. Tignes also states that it uses entirely natural fertilisers and no plant protection products for the maintenance of the course.

A pass to make golf holidays in the Haute-Tarentaise easier

Beyond the value it offers, the Pass Golf Montagne introduces a new way of enjoying a summer holiday in the Alps. Rather than sticking to a single course, golfers are invited to move between three resorts that are geographically close to one another but each offer courses with their own distinct character.

This collaborative approach helps to raise the profile of mountain golf and to develop a range of activities across the Haute-Tarentaise region. It may be of particular interest to golfers staying in the valley for several days, second-home owners, members of regional clubs, or visitors wishing to combine golf with hiking, cycling and exploring the resorts.

The pass also helps to diversify the summer offering at the destinations concerned. In Les Arcs, La Rosière and Tignes, golf forms part of a wider range of activities, including mountain biking, outdoor pursuits, ski lifts open to pedestrians and a variety of family-friendly experiences.

How do I buy the Montagne Golf Pass?

The Pass Golf Montagne is priced at 135 euros. It is sold exclusively at the clubhouses of the three partner golf courses: Les Arcs, La Rosière and Tignes.

The pass is:

  • registered and personal;
  • non-transferable;
  • non-refundable;
  • cannot be combined with any other discount;
  • Valid only during the 2026 summer season.

All three rounds must be played during the summer of 2026. Any unused rounds cannot be carried over to the following season. Proof of the pass must be presented before each tee-off.

It is therefore advisable to check the opening times of each golf course, availability and weather conditions before planning your itinerary.
