Arts en Piste” is coming to Passy Plaine-Joux on Saturday 11 January 2025, transforming the ski resort into a unique artistic stage. With Mont Blanc as a backdrop, this event will mark a memorable day where culture and winter sports meet.
‘Arts en piste’: a living stage on the slopes
Organised by the Passy Tourist Office, this cultural event redefines the concept of the ephemeral mountain stage. The resort of Passy Plaine-Joux, renowned for its family charm and exceptional panorama, becomes the setting for a bold artistic programme.
Visitors, whether on skis or just out for a stroll, will discover artistic performances all along the slopes. The snow front will host immersive events, while the higher areas, accessible by chairlift, will be full of surprising surprises.
The aim of this initiative is to bring together cultural practices and mountain activities, in a spirit of openness and conviviality. Far from the big concerts or formal shows, ‘Arts en Piste’ favours intimacy, the unexpected and sharing, creating a unique dialogue between the artists, the public and the natural environment.
An eclectic and spellbinding programme for this second edition of ‘Arts en piste’
The richness and diversity of the programme make ‘Arts en Piste’ a not-to-be-missed event for lovers of art and nature. Each artist present brings a unique signature, transforming the snow-covered slopes into an open-air gallery:
- Djaque Le Notaire and his brass band: This musical collective transports audiences into a melodic universe where different styles meet, from traditional music to contemporary rhythms. Their infectious energy is a joyous breath of fresh air for skiers and walkers alike.
- Les Gosses de Rythme: With their flamboyant costumes and mastery of percussion, these artists breathe visual and aural dynamism into their performances. Their presence transforms any venue into a veritable carnival of colour and movement.
- Les Kodeks: These quirky clowns combine visual and physical humour to create unexpected scenarios that trigger spontaneous laughter. Their talent lies in their ability to captivate all generations.
- Les Fabulleux: Specialists in giant bubbles, they transform the icy mountain air into a magical space. The iridescent reflections of the bubbles in the snowy landscape create an unforgettable visual experience, accompanied by a soft, dreamy soundtrack.
- Mister Harold: His circus skills, combining balance, juggling and burlesque mimicry, blend perfectly with the Alpine environment. His wanderings invite contemplation and smiles, while creating a poetic bond with the audience.
- Les Messagers: This circus and clown duo play on emotion and surprise. Their acts tell moving stories, evoking universal themes while remaining rooted in a joyfully offbeat aesthetic.

Gourmet experiences to enhance the festivities
The culinary dimension of the event promises to delight the taste buds as much as the performances will delight the eyes. At the top of the Barmus chairlift, visitors will be able to savour a giant tartiflette, prepared with local ingredients by the renowned Boucher de la Yaute.
On the snow front, the atmosphere will be just as warm with simple but comforting delicacies. The Tourist Office will be offering freshly popped popcorn and mulled wine flavoured with spices, perfect for a gourmet break between two shows.
Whether you’re a fan of robust dishes or light snacks, these gourmet areas are designed to complement the magic of ‘Arts en Piste’, making every moment even more memorable.
‘Arts en Piste’ embodies the spirit of Passy Plaine-Joux, a resort where spectacular landscapes are the backdrop for extraordinary human and artistic experiences. Mont Blanc, one of the most beautiful mountains in the world, is the witness to this alchemy in which the mountain itself becomes an actor.
