For 116 years, Rossignol, the emblematic ski and mountain brand, has been committed to promoting solidarity and inclusion in mountain and outdoor sports. This year, in anticipation of the festive season, Rossignol is delighted to launch a new charity initiative in partnership with the Share Winter Foundation and contemporary artist Ya La’ford.

A unique collaborative project between Rossignol Group, Share Winter Foundation and University Prep students

Rossignol and Share Winter have been collaborating for over a year with University Prep, a school supported by Share Winter in the Bronx, New York. A competition was organised allowing students to submit their designs for the creation of a limited edition ski. The winning entry, by Andre Thomas, was created in collaboration with artist Ya La’ford and is entitled ‘Reflection’.

“Collaborating with an iconic brand like Rossignol while inspiring young people in the Bronx, where I’m from, made this experience unique,” said Ya La’ford, a renowned artist and educator whose partnerships with major brands in sports and lifestyle brands.
“Mountains, like art, allow us to transcend our everyday lives by reminding us that freedom and beauty are everywhere, if we take the trouble to pause and look around us”.

All proceeds from sales of the Share Winter Sender 90 Pro will be donated to the Share Winter Foundation to fund future programmes. Share Winter, a not-for-profit organisation, strives to create a more diverse and welcoming winter sports community by partnering with programmes to teach skiing and snowboarding to young people, particularly those who have never had access to winter sports.

“We are particularly proud of this initiative, which is clearly in line with our brand’s mission,” said Gabriel Authier, Marketing Director of the Rossignol Group.
“The passion and creativity we’ve discovered are a source of inspiration: we’ve realised the opportunities we have to change things and continue to make progress on these important issues. Our role is to open up the mountain to new generations and new groups of skiers and to enable more people to join this community of skiers and feel welcome.”

The Share Winter Sender 90 Pro will be available on from Tuesday 28 November 2023.
