Going to the mountains is a unique opportunity to introduce them to skiing, while choosing a resort and a reception structure for the youngest (daycare centre) that is totally adapted.
SnowCAMP Baqueira: a “Kids friendly” resort and services
As a ski enthusiast, it’s only natural that you would organise a ski holiday with your little ones. You love to ski, but you don’t know where to go with your children?
Although ski resorts are generally equipped to receive younger children, the resort of Baqueira Beret, in the Spanish Pyrenees, is particularly “kid friendly”.
The Baqueira Beret ski area has 161 km of slopes for all levels. These include very accessible green slopes, fun runs and areas specially designed for beginners with comfortable and progressive lifts.
Whether you are an expert in this sport or have never skied before, taking your child to Baqueira in particular will be a good idea for several reasons: firstly, because from now on the winter cold is generally less intense and children can handle it better. Secondly, because the children will be in contact with nature and will breathe fresh air. Thirdly, because for some it will be their first contact with the snow and it will be an unforgettable experience. Fourthly and finally, because the Baqueira ski resort has completely reinvented the concept of the snow daycare centre. It offers facilities that are totally adapted to take children, even the very young, with you.
In the current sanitary context, the reception of the smallest children in the house is organised with respect for the rules of hygiene and social distancing.
Baqueira, skiing for the youngest
If this is your little one’s first time on skis, you can of course book ski lessons. The professionals will introduce your children to skiing and help them discover the pleasure of sliding on the slopes.
And if your little one is not yet old enough to get on skis, or if you simply want to share a moment of skiing with your other half, you can always enrol your children in the Baqueira SnowCamp, the new concept of snow daycare.
Don’t worry, Baqueira SnowCamp takes care of your children
The “Baqueira SnowCAMP” daycare service offers various services adapted to the needs of the youngest members of the family. Your little ones will enjoy snow and sports in a safe and fun environment. A multidisciplinary team of professionals, with knowledge in paediatric first aid, will accompany your treasures throughout their stay.
Totally immersed in the heart of the ski area, and very easily accessible, the Baqueira 1800 SnowCamp offers a panoramic view of the ski slopes. The activity leaders will share their love of the mountains while educating the youngest children on the values of care and respect for nature.
Baqueira SnowCAMP is made up of 3 SnowCAMPS-Snow Parks and 1 Baby SnowCAMP distributed in the different areas of the resort. Access to these SnowCAMPs is by foot or by gondola (SnowCAMP 1800).
Each park is adapted to the needs of the ages for which it is intended, as well as to the activities that are carried out there.
You can choose to register your child for a morning or afternoon, or a day (up to 7 days). It is also possible to book a meal on site. The cost is €39 per child for a morning (4 hours, from 9am to 1pm).
Children taking ski lessons will be picked up directly from the SnowCAMP by their instructor. Peace of mind for an easy holiday!
And for you parents, once your morning or day of skiing is over, you will have easy access to the SnowCAMP to collect your children. Individual lockers will allow you to easily find your children’s belongings. And if we are right, you should find them with a smile on their face!

“Baqueira SnowCAMP” daycare opening hours
- SnowCAMP de Baqueira 1800: from 09.00 to 16.30
- SnowCAMP Beret: from 09.00 to 16.30
- Baby SnowCAMP 1500: from 08.30 to 16:45
- SnowCAMP Bonaigua: from 09.00 to 16.30.
Access to the Baqueira 1800 SnowCAMP requires the use of a ski lift, so it will be necessary to purchase the corresponding pass for the days in question, both for the minor and his/her companion. The SnowCAMPS located in Beret, Bonaigua and Baqueira 1500 are located next to the car park and do not require the use of a lift (and therefore the acquisition of a pass).
