Your videos in the snow with the best definition
Lightweight body, resistance, image quality and automatic stabilization are just some of the characteristics of this small video camera. We have received the new GoPro sports camera and we can finally do a complete analysis with all the new features.
GOPRO HERO 9 BLACK Strengths:
Supreme quality videos
this little jem, stands out for its overwhelming hardware characteristics and versatility. Its beautifully designed black box comes with a robust structure that records video in 5K quality at 30fps, as well as in 4K format with 60/120 fps. Sick!
Automatic stability in all resolutions
perhaps one of the great improvements, is the Hypersmooth 3.0 video stabilizer that the Hero 9 brings, being able to make stable videos at all frames rates and resolutions, without the need for gimballs or camera stabilizers.
Go Pro 9 has two batteries. They are larger and more efficient at 1,720 mAh than previous versions and allow us to record up to 30% longer. Its predefined shooting modes are very useful and easy to activate from its large rear screen, saving time and autonomy thanks to its intuitive display.

Improved cold performance
The Good news for fans of winter sports is that the new GoPro Hero 9 Black offers better performance than previous generations in cold environments. Before, at low temperatures, the would stop recording and the image would “freeze”, now it seems that it does not happen (we will check it shortly).
Two color LCD screens
The new version brings two very useful screens to make our videos in the snow. The rear screen is 1.4″ with a live preview and status, while the rear touch screen is 2.27 inches in RGB.
You can also easily take night shots, program the camera’s power to take a sunrise Time Laps or record in Slow Motion with the push of a button. Sounds great right?
Submersible sports camera:
If you want to take a dip with this robust sports camera, you can! It is submersible up to 10 meters deep without the need to use a housing, facilitating focus and versatility in full immersion.
The new GoPro Hero 9 allows you to record up to 5 modes in landscape format (16: 9):
- Wide Angle: 60-30-24fps
- SuperView lens: 30-24fps
- Linear Lens: 60-30-24fps
- Linear with horizon aligned: 60-30-24fps
- Narrow Lens: 60-30-24fps
The transfer of information from your camera to the computer is carried out at full speed, reaching a Bitrate of 100 Mbps, really fast! In addition, through its mobile application, we can quickly and easily synchronize our Go Pro 9 4K Ultra HD camera.
In this way, we can edit and make all the settings directly from our smartphone, as if we were doing it from the camera itself.
Version 9 of the Go Pro camera maintains the novelties that its predecessor brought, highlighting the useful anchor incorporated in the structure itself or the removable magnetic lens to remove the lens cover.
Weaknesses of the GOPRO HERO 9 BLACK:
As the new Go Pro 9 camera reached our hands the first thing we noticed was that it is robust, and slightly larger. Specifically, the measurements of the HERO 9 are 55 x 71 x 33.6mm. This means that we cannot use covers and other plugins from previous versions. It features a crisp, clear rear screen, even in sunny situations. Another front screen, which facilitates framing but with reduced frames per second, offering an image “in jumps” but which perfectly fulfills its function in selfies and streaming.
From 125 grams (HERO 8) to 159 grams. It may seem trivial, but the few extra more grams are noticeable when worn on the head. However, carrying it in your hand or on any other support is not a problem.
The GoPro sensor is the same size as the last three generations. Although the result is spectacular, the increase in megapixels is produced by extrapolation. In any case, more than enough for the vast majority of users, its quality allows you to stop the video at any time and take 14.7 megapixel images.
Premium branding details
The incorporation of lens protection or a more solid anchor is missing. Opening the side to replace the battery is complex and offers a lot of resistance.
