The holidays are just around the corner. Do you want to discover new landscapes and experience new things? The Peyragudes ski resort, located in the heart of the Pyrenees between 1600 and 2400 metres above sea level, is launching its 2021 summer season with energy and many new features to make it a unique summer in the Pyrenees. New experiences based on nature and sport will be created to attract local customers looking for a fresh change of scenery.
The creation of a playground in the Peyresourde sector
For this summer 2021, the resort of Peyragudes will offer a fully equipped play area to enjoy and experience new skiing sensations. The Snow White carpet will give you access to three different levels of mountain bike routes (blue, red and green), which are ideal for learning about hairpin turns, obstacle crossings and jumping.
On the same plateau, you will also find a new tubing track and a 140-metre dry toboggan run, which you can take down in a buoy, alone or with others. The more adventurous can reach speeds of up to 40 km/h on their way down! And if you feel like it, take a mountainkart for a few runs on the grassy slopes. You’ll be delighted by the fun and family activities! Not to mention the creation of go-kart routes.
For only 12 euros, you will have access for one hour to the sledge, the karts and the mountain bike area, and you will be lent the equipment: the buoys, the bikes and the karts. Work is underway to equip this playground with a zip line with more than 600 metres of descent which will be open to the public from next winter.
Connected walks and Escape Game for teenagers
After all these novelties you are still not convinced? Don’t worry, if you plan to go to Peyragudes in the summer of 2021 you will also find new activities for your teenage children.
During the summer period, the resort’s ski lifts remain open on both sides of the valley. Skyvall, the gondola which links the Louron valley to Peyragudes is accessible 7 days a week, as is the Privilège chairlift. This year, the resort is inaugurating a new connected walk for teenagers, “Aqua Mortem”, in addition to the escape game for younger children, “Le Mystère des Ardoisières”, which was very popular with families last summer.
To complete the package, Skyvall is launching a : Skyvall Expérience. It will allow you to organise your stay in the Louron valley and the resort of Peyragudes. You will have access to itinerary proposals, route suggestions, ticketing with priority access to the gondola, and several connected activities such as photoshoots at different locations in the resort.

Finally, after all these activities, you can relax on the resort’s new panoramic terrace, located above the Lac du Boum. Not to mention the “step into the void” experience. Walk to the end of the lookout point and observe the marvellous landscapes that are offered to you. Look down, your feet are in the air!
Finally, the cultural and sporting agenda of the Louron Valley will make it the ideal destination for the 2021 summer holidays.
This summer, several events will be organised, such as the annual Foire aux Traditions which will take place in mid-August in the heart of the village of Loudenvielle, the Pyrenees Bike Festival, the Balneaman triathlon, the Louron trail or one of the events of the 2021 enduro world cup.
In 2022, the resort will also host the same World Cup, not forgetting the Tour de France on 14 July. Not to be missed under any circumstances!
