Many ski resorts have joined in the movement of spring skiing to encourage both ski lovers and those who want to try it to live this different experience and enjoy skiing with a more pleasant temperature. Whether you haven’t had time to go skiing or just want to continue enjoying it, this is your chance.

Perfect conditions to enjoy spring skiing

At this time of the year, the days are much longer, allowing you to make the most of them. Contrary to what many people think, the snow in this season is still abundant in the high mountain areas.
The temperature is very pleasant and allows you to enjoy long sunny days. Therefore, the ski days can be complemented with many other outdoor activities that can not be enjoyed during the winter. For example, you can ski during the whole morning and then spend the afternoon hiking, mountain biking, doing biathlon, zip-line jumping… The range of possibilities is much wider than it is in the winter.
The landscapes are transformed, becoming a mixture between magnificent snowy peaks and green meadows and forests. Without a doubt, the best time to fully enjoy the beauty of the views from the slopes.
This time of the year is not high season anymore, so there are much fewer people in the resorts and you can enjoy them without having to deal with long queues and crowds in general. The atmosphere is much quieter. It’s the ideal time to spend a few days of family holidays in the mountains as well as the perfect moment for beginners, who can learn to move with skis without any stress.
There are also many festivals, such as Rock The Pistes, which are held at this time since the conditions are much more pleasant outside.

Incredible offers spring skiing

Skiing in spring also allows everyone to enjoy it. In addition to having perfect conditions, the resorts offer incredible ski offers in spring, so it’s much more economical to spend a holiday in the mountains.
You will find great discounts and even 2×1 offers. And if you’re still not convinced that this is the perfect opportunity for a family vacation, in many of the resorts that participate in the spring ski movement, the children’s ski passes are for free.
In Châtel, in addition to Rock The Pistes and other events, children under 12 will ski for free and there will be 2×1 in beginner packs. The 2×1 for beginners (with ski pass, course and equipmant rental included) will also be available in Luchon. In Val Cenis, from the 17th to the 20th of March, the festival “It’s Spring in Val Cenis” will be held, with guests such as Carla Bruni.
In Val d’Allos there will be many events, such as the Women’s Weekend, March 16 and 17, in which there will be activities of all kinds, fireworks and big discounts. In Peyragudes we will also find different offers, for example the “frosty weekends”, in which two ski days and two hotel nights will cost only € 99 per person. You can see the upcoming events that will take place in Montgenèvre. In Métabief, the Tripette Cup, a derby of couples, will take place on March 16.
