Châtel: a resort labeled “Family Plus”
Every year, the Châtel resort goes through the “Family Plus” test, the French national label that recognizes the efforts made by ski resorts to accommodate families and children. Several criteria are evaluated, including reception, accommodation, services, entertainment, innovations, etc.
The Châtel resort, in Haute Savoie (France), has been committed for years to welcome both children and adults through:
1. A personalized welcome for families.
2. Entertainment adapted for all ages.
3. From the smallest to the largest: a different rate for everyone
4. Activities for young and old, to enjoy either together or separately.
5. A nearby medical service to treat little wounds.
6. Children cared for and pampered by professionals. You can check the weeks of thematic animation for children in the activity programs distributed by the tourist office.

Can someone take care of my children while I go down the track?
In Châtel, you can even go down several tracks. You can relax, your children will be in good hands.
The Club of the Little Mountaineers is formed by a team of professional animators who welcome children between the ages of 4 and 14.
There are numerous indoor and outdoor activities (craft workshops, games, sports…) which are specially prepared for children.
And for parents who want their son (4 to 8 years old) to also learn to ski, the Châtel ski resort and the Club of the Little Mountaineers offer during the Christmas holidays and in February a half-day tourist welcome, transportation included.
Leave your children in the ski lessons reserved in the morning at Pré-la-Joux, Linga or Super-Châtel (from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.) and they will be picked up when they finish their classes with a shuttle service with a companion. to go eat at the Leisure Center. In the afternoon, they are taken back to have fun in the activity area. All you have to do is pick them up in the afternoon at the Leisure Center and tell each other how your ski day has gone.
Châtel: no limit of possibilities
In the Châtel ski resort, the possibilities are infinite. Its vast ski area consists of a total of 46 tracks that you may access through 42 skiable ski lifts. In addition, fun is guaranteed thanks to its playful tracks: the Leisure Zone and the Mauve Milka track.
The Leisure Zone, about 250 meters long and protected by nets, allows you (either alone or accompanied by an instructor) to measure your speed and learn how to control your braking distance. You will find it near the blue track of Bellevue, in the area of Super-Châtel / Chalet Neuf.
In the Mauve Milka track you can discover with your family the alpine fauna in a fun way: just get away from the path and get right into nature to discover pedagogical panels and real-scale reproductions of the different local animals that you can find.
If you are looking for a ski resort where the whole family can enjoy the snow, either together or separately, the Châtel resort is your ideal destination.
