Luchon : 3 meters of snow in the Céciré and more than 2 meters in the lower part of the ski area

 
The heavy snowfall received in the past few weeks has allowed the ski area of Luchon-Superbagnères to be extended and to guarantee optimal snow for the February/March holidays in France, where a large part of the annual turnover is concentrated. The last fall, dated the 3rd of February, left more than 70 cm (27 in) of powder snow in the Céciré. It left 50 cm (20 in) in the plateau or lower part of the ski area. In the month of January, the ski resort of the Upper Garonne recorded high attendance peaks, especially on the days when the sun shone, after the generous snowfall.
A dream place with ideal conditions that have awakened the desire of snow of all ski enthusiasts, both locals and tourists who rushed to book their ski holidays in the Pyrenees at the last moment to see the “old mountains” of Europe show their snowier face since the season began.
The snow in Luchon arrived late, but in abundance. It has facilitated that the next vacations have great affluence and contributing to the wealth of the mountain and its valleys.

Fun February/March holidays, full of animations in Luchon

Every Wednesday during the school holidays, you can enjoy the “Festive Wednesdays of Luchon-Superbagnères”. During the holidays, Wednesday will be the day for the children, but also the day for the parents, since there will be many activities, concerts, DJs… And the closing of the gondola will be delayed to 8 p.m.!

In addition, from the 15th to the 17th of March, the Luchon-Superbagnères ski resort will host the Garosnow Festival, Garorock’s smaller versión.
