With a personal record of speed of 231,660km/h, Jan Farrel is part of a close circle of competitors of Speed-Ski. Last year, he finished on 6 position on the World Cup and his main goal for this year is to achieve the podium in some race of the championship and reach the 250km/h.

After an intense preseason, from October until the end of December, Jan Farrel has been in a great number of places, aamong them, the Austrian glaciers : Hintertux, Söleden y Kaunertal, mainly because of the lack of snow in lower domains.

During the month of January, he was in Grandvalira (Andorra), Vars (France) and Altennmarkt-Fageralm (Austria). “In each of this places, I could put into practice everything learnt on the medical report made by the team of Globalphysio, studies designed exclusively for detecting deficiencies or areas for perfection for down hill skiing” affirms Jan Farrel.

Some training techniques have been used by Jan Farrel. He started on the world of eccentric training, that slows down elongation of the muscle process in order to challenge the muscles, which can lead to stronger muscles, to avoid injuries.

“I’m sure that all this effort will be reflected in each of the races” explains Jan Farrel.

Today in Canada, Jan Farrel takes part on his 2nd World Cup in top category (Speed 1) of Speed Ski.

The I LOVE SKI team wishes them good luck!
