120Km. Distance to Airport

Between Lake Léman and Gstaad at an altitude of 1200m, you will find Les Diablerets. It is part of Glacier 3000 with Gstaad's ski resort in the middle of Alpes de Vaud. The rocky wall of this mountain range surrounding the small village in Ormont Valley was supposedly haunted during the Middle Ages : people used to believe that it was a dangerous place because the Devil was living here. Hence the name of the village : Les Diablerets. However, these rumours disappeared considering the courage needed to realise the adventure activities offered by the ski resort. An intense program for kids, adapted prices and infrastructures demonstrate the efforts made by the hosts of this place. You will find 3 big skiing areas with a total of 125km of pistes and a snowpark at nearly 3000m of altitude. The network of cross-country skiing pistes includes 30km for classic style and 15km for skating. You will also find many after skiing activities such as a piste for sledges measuring 7,2km, snowshoeing routes, snow biking or ice climbing. You can see the famous glacier-restaurant built by the architect Mario Botta, which will offer you a wonderful panoramic view over Lake Léman's region. There is also a Museum of Wine of Vaud at the edge of Lake Léman. Counting nearly 2000 years of activity, the Saline of Bex is a salt mine with 50km long galleries : you can discover its secrets with a guide ! Or you can even go to the International Alpine Film Festival (festival of movies about mountain and environment) which rewards the best productions of "freeride, extreme sports and intense efforts".
